About Port Lincoln High School

Port Lincoln is a coastal city located on the south eastern point of Eyre Peninsula with a total population of approximately 14,000 people.

The population of the Indigenous people living in Port Lincoln is approximately 1200 people, a large percentage of the Wangka Wilurrara Regional Indigenous population.

Port Lincoln High School has over 750 students - approximately 90 are indigenous.

Port Lincoln High has a number of specialist programs such as Eyre Peninsula Sporting Academy (EPSA) and Doorways to Construction, VET opportunities and are involved in a number of sporting competitions throughout the year.

Port Lincoln High has a focus on Fairness, Respect, Safety, Responsibility & Success.

There is a South Australian Aboriginal Sports Training Academy (SAASTA) program operating in this school that supports young Aboriginal people to complete their SACE. Students study Integrated Learning – Power Cup and English as part of their SAASTA program.

In 2012 there will be a Port Lincoln Boys and a Girls team and it is their 5th year of involvement in the Power Cup.

The Port Lincoln Boys team defeated the Wiltja Boys in the 2009 Grand Final of the Power Cup.
