About Port Augusta Secondary School

Port Augusta is located 300 kilometres north of Adelaide at the top of the Spencer Gulf.

There are over 550 students currently attending Port Augusta Secondary School including approximately 200 Aboriginal students.

The school has a middle campus with two sub-schools. The small learning communities provide programs and structures to promote educational outcomes for young adolescent students. The senior campus provides a range of SACE, VET and TAFE programs designed to meet the diverse needs of the student population.

In 2012, Port Augusta Secondary School became a South Australian Aboriginal Sports Training Academy (SAASTA) school.  SAASTA subjects include Integrated Learning – Power Cup and Certificate II in Sport & Recreation.

2012 is the 4th year of involvement in the Aboriginal Power Cup for Port Augusta Secondary School.  There will be a Port Augusta Boys and a Girls team.
