About Le Fevre High School and Ocean View College
Le Fevre High School has over 630 students, including more than 130 Aboriginal students. The Years 8-12 school offers many programs including Engineering Pathways Program, Indigenous New Media Program, the Kaurna Language program and the Western Adelaide Trade School for the Future.
Le Fevre High School’s values are: Care, Commitment, Cooperation and Respect.
Le Fevre High School is located 16 kilometres north-west of the city of Adelaide. It is situated near the beach and close to Semaphore.
Le Fevre High School is in its third year as a South Australian Aboriginal Sports Trainin Academy (SAASTA) school. Students study Integrated Learning – Power Cup and meet regularly each week to complete tasks and train. They are also undertaking Certificate II in Sport & Recreation.
In 2010 Le Fevre High submitted a Boys team who were extremely competitive winning all of their football matches.
In 2012 a number of Ocean View College students will be combining with the Le Fevre students to make up a Boys and a Girls team for the second year in a row.
Ocean View College is a Birth to 12 school located right on the beach at Taperoo on the Le Fevre Peninsula with nearly 800 students. Ocean View has a strong Marine focus in their curriculum and conducts a Specialist Sailing program. Both Le Fevre and Ocean View share a common timetable where the students travel to each school to attend specialist classes, especially in the Senior School.
