2012 Aboriginal Power Cup Schools

2012 will see up to 336 students participate in the Aboriginal Power Cup from across 24 South Australian schools. Some schools that are located close to each other have formed cluster teams that will make up 14 male teams and 14 female teams. This is so more students from years 10, 11 and 12 can get involved.

If you have any questions about the 2012 Aboriginal Power Cup, please contact us.

Student Expectations

For students participating in the Aboriginal Power Cup to be eligible to attend and participate in the carnival in June certain expectations must be met, like attending school and completing school curriculum tasks. These expectations are outlined in the ‘Student Expectations’ document which can be accessed by clicking here.

School activities

Aboriginal Power Cup participants work together in their teams over terms 1 and 2 to complete the SACE Integrated Learning – Aboriginal Power Cup subject curriculum tasks including: organising a coach, a trainer, a mentor, a training schedule, designing a team Guernsey and polo shirt, plan and prepare a traditional meal for guests and develop and practice a team war cry to perform at the carnival.

We want to share some of these exciting tasks with you as they come in, along with any articles about what's happening in the schools, like visits from Power players! So keep an eye on this page to see what's happening in the schools.
