Salisbury High School - Salisbury High School gets a visit from some special people

< < Back

On Tuesday Danyle Pearce and Gavin Wanganeen paid Salisbury High School a visit. They were here to talk to the Aboriginal students about APC, goal setting and career pathways. Most of the students were interested in sports or sporting jobs which would be a great career opportunity.

Danyle Pearce talked about how it was to go to Pasadena High School and the struggles throughout the years that he was there. Gavin Wanganeen spoke about how he grew up in the Salisbury area when he was their age. Gavin also told the kids the choices he had to make to achieve his goal of playing footy and not to give in if it's hard. These players even knew some of the kids at this school and had lots to catch up on in the drills session. We then ventured off to the school oval to practice their drills. These kids had a few in mind but learnt some excellent drills from Pearce and Wanganeen. These kids have got a lot of skill and are going to be great in APC.
