Port Lincoln High School - POWER CUP!

< < Back

14 schools are going to the Power Cup in Adelaide on the 10th to the 12th of June.
This year over 300 Aboriginal students from 14 schools around the state are involved in the Power Cup. Participants must be a current student of the South Australia Aboriginal Sports Training Academy. Each school will form teams of 9-a-side, with one male and one female team. They will play at Alberton Oval. All the teams from each school are very passionate, and will be playing to win the Power Cup. Each school team makes team rules and responsibilities for players, chooses a coach and team manager, makes a training schedule, trains as a team and designs a Guernsey.

The male Port Lincoln team won the Power Cup carnival last year. The Port Lincoln High School has started training and is in good shape. Both of the teams look good and the class is nearly finished their Power Cup booklet. We have a good Guernsey that one of the players, Buddy, designed and the class decided that it will be their Guernsey.

This year the Port Lincoln male and female teams are looking pretty good. But they have not yet trained together as a whole team. When they train together as a whole team they will have a strong side playing in the Power Cup.
