About Le Fevre High School

Le Fevre High School has over 500 students, including more than 60 Aboriginal students. The Years 8-12 school offers many programs including Engineering Pathways Program, Indigenous New Media Program, the Kaurna Language program and the Western Adelaide Trade School for the Future.

Le Fevre High School’s values are: Care, Commitment, Cooperation and Respect.

Le Fevre High School is located 16 kilometres north west of the city of Adelaide. It is situated near the beach and close to Semaphore.

Students study Integrated Learning – Power Cup and meet regularly each week to complete tasks and train.

Le Fevre are planning to become a SAASTA school in 2011.

In 2010 there will be a Le Fevre High Boys team and it is their first year of involvement in the Power Cup.

Team Rules

  • Respect each other and opponents
  • Attend all classes and training sessions
  • Respectful movement in public
  • Good sportsmanship, zero tolerance of verbal abuse and sledging.

Team Rules (Consequences)

  • Missing lessons or training sessions will result in limited playing time.
  • Poor Sportsmanship: A player will receive first warning, second time offenders will be taken off the field and third time offenders will be excluded from the team.

All consequences will be governed by the players and final decision will be supported by the coach and mentors.

Leading up to the Power Cup students will participate in program every Friday lesson 3 and 4. Lesson 4 will be the nominated time to train develop and refine skills.

The Aboriginal Power Cup is growing even bigger in 2010, with three new schools joining in the fun. LeFevre High School is one of those schools and they were lucky enough to be visited by a couple of Port Adelaide legends in Russell Ebert and Gavin Wanganeen.
