Ceduna Area School - Power stops in on Ceduna

< < Back

For Russell Ebert, Gavin Wanganeen and Daniel Motlop it was an early start to fly over to Ceduna, but they all had a nap on the plane to get their rest before talking to the kids. Upon landing the stars ventured to Ceduna Area School which is a joint school reception – year 12. The APC students were very quiet but warmed up to us in the end. Daniel talked about how it was to grow up in Darwin and how he had to leave his family and friends to fulfill his dream of playing AFL football.

After our discussion of career pathways and goal setting we ventured off to the gym where we did some simple handball drills and kicking drills. Daniel even showed us how he can kick the footy and get a goal through a basketball hoop. The kids were amazed and tried it themselves but no one succeeded! When everyone was clear on how to perform a handball and a kick the students had a chance to get photos and have a little chat with their heroes. We are sure Ceduna Area School is going to do great in the APC this year. Good luck guys and girls!
